Why wouldn't it apply to the current President?
The current proposal to repeal the 22nd (HJR 5, by Jose Serrano, if I recall correctly) makes no such distinction.
I predict a coordinated attack on the 22nd Amendment and the Electoral College.

obama has been violating our Constitution on a daily if not hourly basis and not a peep of protest have I heard. Either from the Republican Party or the media.
While I won’t say that obama does not have worries, being called on violating the Constitution is not one of them.
If his owners want him to remain in the WhiteHouse after 2016 there will be no problem there.
