The point that you miss is that the Democrats are destroying America, and that is happening because people stayed home on election day because McCain wasn't a conservative.
Let me simplify it for you: The choice was between a moderate RINO and a known Totalitarian, Racist Fascist. People with your point of view chose the Fascist by staying home. Your supposition fails on a key point - there is no way Romney could have won the general, just as there was no chance for McCain until he picked Palin as a running mate (and even then, it was a long shot undone by McCain's RINO-ation on TARP).
You and your fellow RINO-boosters keep missing that key point - the trick is NOT to berate conservatives into voting for the RINO in the general - the trick is to nominate someone center-right to avoid the losing path of having a RINO atop the ticket.
