Firms Await Broadband Grant Rules

WASHINGTON -- Obama administration officials will announce rules Wednesday for handing out $7.2 billion in broadband stimulus funds, but some companies already are raising concerns about how long it could take to award the money.

Officials are expected to detail how they plan to distribute $4.7 billion in broadband money from the Commerce Department in grants and $2.5 billion from the Agriculture Department in grants or loans.

Broadband stimulus?

Is there a list somewhere of exactly who/what gets this stimulus/grant money?

It seems to be ‘never-ending’, except when I want some.

Great this will allow us to finance the backbone for the Internet II. Then we can shutdown the old Internet (you know the free one). Internet II will have lots of security features in case the peasants want to discuss objectionable subjects like freedom etc. I can’t wait.
