As a professor, I find that the long-established terms “socialist,” “Marxist,” “communist” absolutely do not register with the under 25 crowd. We can lament this all we like, but the fact is, since the end of the Cold War, the clear evils of socialism are not apparent to many youts.

I guess we could just call them pimps and ho's. The under 25's know that for sure.

Ironic, is it not? Battle the commies in a cold war lasting 50 years, then our youth never learns about the horrors of totalitarianism and the commies win in the end anyway. Who would have thought that?

I tried to instill a love of country, freedom and liberty in my kids. Then one went to the University of Oregon and that didn’t work out so well. One is at UC Santa Cruz and, although she voted for O, seems to have a good head on her shoulders. My son is heading to University of Colorado - Boulder and that’s got me worried.
