Honduras Defends Its Democracy

Hugo Chávez's coalition-building efforts suffered a setback yesterday when the Honduran military sent its president packing for abusing the nation's constitution. It seems that President Mel Zelaya miscalculated when he tried to emulate the success of his good friend Hugo in reshaping the Honduran Constitution to his liking. But Honduras is not out of the Venezuelan woods yet. Yesterday the Central American country was being pressured to restore the authoritarian Mr. Zelaya by the likes of Fidel Castro, Daniel Ortega, Hillary Clinton and, of course, Hugo himself. The Organization of American States, having ignored Mr. Zelaya's abuses, also wants him back in power. It will be a miracle if Honduran patriots can hold their ground.

My friend in Honduras just sent this to friends and encouraged everyone to pass it along. She said it is the best article she has seen yet on what is happening there:

There has NOT been a coup in Honduras. The country is NOT in crisis. This all started over a year ago when our president Mel Zelaya, with the help of Hugo Chavez and Daniel Ortega, began shredding the Honduran Constitution and setting the stage for him to become dictator of Honduras. As we neared the November elections that would seat a new president, Mel Zelaya became more ruthless. Zelaya was informed more than once that his actions were outside the bounds of the Honduran Constitution. Zelaya earlier this year denounced democracy and announced he would seed a Venezuelan style of government, he then began receiving large sums of cash from Hugo Chavez.

This last week, tensions mounted after a ruling from the Honduran SUPREME COURT that Mel Zelaya has committed crimes against the Constitution. As Chavez and Ortega offered military assistance the National Congress of Honduras, The people of Honduras and the Courts of Honduras did not flinch. They stood beside their Constitution and detained by order of the National Congress Mel Zelaya for crimes against the Constitution.

President Zelaya and a small portion of the population tried to highjack the country and destroy democracy in favor of a Chavez-style government. Zelaya was shredding the constitution he swore to protect in order to stay in power past constitutional limits and firmly align Honduras with Venezuela.

President Zelaya was clearly, and more than once, informed officially that his actions were outside of the constitution and law. Given his obedience to Hugo Chavez, and Chavez’s money, Zelaya was a traitor to this country in the truest sense of the word.

I am writing to you as an American investor living in Honduras to express my admiration and respect for this country and how its government handled this crisis. They were faced with a difficult situation that was only growing worse.

This was NOT a coup, but a criminal arrest. Hondurans should be applauded for how they handled this! They used their Constitution and stood firmly in the face of Chavez, Ortega, Morales, and Castro and said no to this form of government. You would think the US would be applauding the situation. The US will, if not careful, give Chavez and Ortega the fuel they need to invade Honduras and remove our democratic form of Government. We can not believe the news reports and the statements by our representatives. We need your help. All Americans and Hondurans are frantically emailing and sending information to the US . We need you to forward this email to your local news station, CNN, contacts that you may have at any level of government. Email your senator, congressman. Please pass this along. If the US ushers Zelaya back into power they are condemning this country to a communist regime.

So, the Honduras Supreme Court ordered the arrest because of constitutional violations? HMMMM... Is Obamateur getting nervous yet? I notice he is not applauding the rule of law in Honduras, but rather siding with Chavez and Ortega.. Hmmm.

And on e-bay a birth certificate denied sale for 1 million...hmmm.

And over 1 million spent by Obama concealing the real one.
hmmmm...

And a move on to repeal the 22nd amendment....hmmmm

Ya better hurry up and pack the supreme court, Obamateur, with over-turned judges no less, before they get asked the question of your constitutional right to office...

And have Acorn ready to pack the ballot boxes with illegal votes.

The term democracy is tossed about rather loosely by the likes of Chavez, Ortega, Zelaya, Clinton, and Obama. Their meaning of the word is quite different than yours or mine.

Rigged elections are no big thing to them since they're the ones doing the rigging. The main thing is for the voice of the proletariat to be heard, and they alone have the inside line to that voice.

Personal freedom and property protections put in place by a constitution are temporal and should be changed when they think it's necessary. Freedom amounts to the people doing what their “elected” officials think they should be doing, for their own good, of course.

Chavez, Ortega, Zelaya, Clinton, and Obama are all cut from the same cloth. They are all adherents to the social and political theories of Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky. They all pose a danger to freedom-loving people across the globe.

By contrast when Honduras’ legislature and supreme court acted to remove President Manuel Zelaya, a close ally of Chavez, who had fired the head of the army and attempted to stage a coup by violating the Constitution, Obama and his people have been working around the clock to restore Zelaya to power, even while stating that they want the whole thing to be “free from external influence and interference” (the hypocrisy on that line alone is almost enough to choke even Chavez himself). The question is why?

But of course it’s not that difficult of a question. Not when you think like a coward. Not when you think like Obama.

Why wouldn’t Obama panic at the sight of a Congress and Supreme Court removing a left wing Socialist President who violated the Constitution in pushing to make himself el-presidente for life, by violating term limits. Let alone the military dumping said President across border.

Obama no doubt has nightmares of waking up on a C-31 transport to Kenya, after enough of his wrongdoing leads him to being booted out of the White House by what remains of the American legislative and judicial infrastructure.

Today Manuel “ALBA” Zelaya. Tomorrow it could be Barry “Hussein” Obama. And Barry knows better than anyone else the full catalog of lies, crimes and scandals brewing beneath his regime. Obama’s rise to power has been part of an American hemisphere trend that covers the likes of Chavez, Zelaya, Correa, Silva and even the return of Kerry’s old buddy, Ortega, to power in Nicaragua. What all of them have in common with Obama is a left wing socialist agenda that ignores the rule of law. An attack against Zelaya, could in Obama’s mind be seen an attack against him equally.

If the rollback of socialist tyranny begins in Honduras, it might spread. If Brazil, Venezeula and Ecuador follow-- might not the democractic revolution spread to America as well, and make the Prince of Chicago’s throne shakier than ever?

That is how a coward thinks, and Obama is nothing if not a coward. And like all cowards, he knows how little he deserves what he has, and how easy it would be for him to lose it all. A gang of greedy and deluded followers, and a nationwide 24/7 propaganda blitz can only do so much. After all there isn’t a socialist tyrant in the hemisphere who hasn’t had the same thing. And yet the latest of them is enjoying a well deserved vacation in Venezuela. A profile in cowardice. A liar and a manipulator who serves his own ends first and his host country’s, last.

Heavy hangs the head that wears the ill-gotten crown. From one corner of the globe to another, Obama flits back and forth, delivering speeches and posing for photos. Like a rat rubbing against a rosebush, hoping some of the loose petals will attach themselves to him so that he can appear more like a rosebush and less like a rat, Obama hopes that going through the motions of being a world leader will actually get people to confuse him with a world leader.

Yet his mumbling silence on Iran speaks far more eloquently about the sort of man Obama is, than all his scripted speeches ever could. Obama has been compared to JFK, but what he represents is no profile in courage, but a profile in cowardice. A liar and a manipulator who serves his own ends first and his host country’s, last. Who proclaims, Ask not what I can do for your country, Ask what your country can do for me. And above all else, a craven coward."

How come we always get such from foreign countries' media and not from the Slimes, Compost or LA Slimes???

Those medias are more involved in who got the death-story of M.J. first than real issues as mentioned above. The U.S. journalism died long ago!!!
