TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras – Police and soldiers clashed with thousands of protesters outside Honduras' national palace Monday, leaving at least 15 people injured, as world leaders from Barack Obama to Hugo Chavez demanded the return of a president ousted in a military coup.

Leftist leaders pulled their ambassadors from Honduras and Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega said El Salvador, Nicaragua and Guatemala would cut trade with neighboring Honduras for at least 48 hours. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez called for Hondurans to rise up against those who toppled his ally, Manuel Zelaya.

They say that like there's a big difference between the two of them.

How come Obama isn’t upset over the election in Iraq?

He’s SILENT on that result.

>> as world leaders from Barack Obama to Hugo Chavez demanded the return of a president ousted in a military coup.

Ha ha! “..leaders FROM Obama TO Chavez..” — what a clever way to put it!

Look on a map, the only one in between them with any clout at all is Fidel Castro!

I don’t know anything about Honduras, but if Castro, Chavez, and Obama are against it — then I can say with 99% surity that the “coup” was a very good thing.

Remember when the response of the United States to international incidents was not predictably identical to that of ruthless dictators?

Ah, the good old days of the original America.

Memo to Dumbo: Honduras could happen here. Yes....it could.

(Thank you, Honduras, for making my tag line topical!)

...0bama is going to bully them into taking the wannabe Commie dictator back.

This is my fear. I hope the truth about it being a fully constitutional move gets out - preferably in Gibbs' face.

In fact, the constitution of Honduras disallows what this guy tried. The Supreme Court ordered the removal of the wannabe dictator.

This truth has to get out. Why do I keep reading articles saying it's a coup? It prevented a coup.

... head exploding...

And what country does Obama speak for? Kenya?

Since when did America stop talking freedom and start talking Communism.

Where are the Republicans criticizing Obama on this? I don’t understand how someone who gives their Constitution the middle finger and tries to become fricking King is somehow the victim of a “coup.” Just mind-boggling what’s going on and the vomit-inducing spin being reported by the liberal media. Reagan is probably doing 100 mph RPMs over this crap.

The current Honduras govt. should declare that they wish to blow Israel off the face of the map. Then the rabid leftist world leaders will leave them alone...might even sing the praises of the new enlightened leadership of Honduras.

I can understand why Obama and his ilk don't like coups, it might give people in their own countries the idea of doing the same to them. Dictators or Statists such as Obama and the National Socialist Party (formerly the Democratic Party)fear the idea of people uprising against the government. It is time to take America back.

“Since when did America stop talking freedom and start talking Communism.”

Well, the United States started talking about communism (i.e., supporting it) since January 21, 2009.
