Lately it seems we have been getting it from all sides. George W. Bush spent money hand over fist entrenching us deep in the Iraqi war. As Wall Street collapsed it began to be revealed that government politicians were in bed with corporate moguls and that the political game was just that: a game to see who could get to be the richest on the taxpayer's dole. Then came the bailouts. Corporate executives who flew to Washington in their private jets needed money to stay afloat, not to mention "honor" their financial obligations to pay out billions of dollars in promised bonuses.
