Stephanopoulos seems genuinely incredulous that Obama would flip on his pledge not to raise taxes on taxpayers earning less than $250K. One wonders if he is beginning to see the truth about Obama.

Of course, he knows taxes will be raised, and he is elated. So are Obama voters. They want the higher taxes because they believe in the principle of paying “their fair share.”

Whodathunkit.
Even after he does it, most ‘moderates’ will refuse to believe he lied to them. That would be racist.
Besides, it Bush’s fault.

That’s why he is so popular: this is not “the best of times”, but the American people truly in their “hearts” believe Obama is “on their side”, and it will take several catastrophes to change that false perception. It may never be changed, as the American people live on “hope for change”.

I can't believe that Obama's economic advisers would let him even think of raising taxes during a recession.
Sheer madness!

He’ll have to raise taxes across the board to pay off the mountain of debt he’s managed to create since being Immaculated.

You must be naive. In some ways, most likely...but not in matters pertaining to economics and business.
Increasing the tax burden on a struggling economy is known by nearly all economists to be potentially deadly.

Not so.
Princeton, Harvard, Yale, etc economists still cling to Keynes. And many of those have said at meetings “We should all pay more taxes.:

And you don’t need to be an economist to know that sucking capital out of a struggling economy is like pouring gasoline on a fire.
