Gov. Tim Pawlenty says a climate change bill making its way through Congress is misguided.
In an appearance on CNN's State of the Union on Sunday morning, the Republican governor said he shares the goal of reducing pollution and emissions. But he says the best way to do that is through conservation, more fuel-efficient vehicles and improving base-load power with nuclear energy.
Pawlenty says the cap and trade emissions regime in the bill would send U.S. jobs to other countries.

Thank you, Tim. You keep this up, and I may actually vote for you again...now just temper your commentary on Palin. Very bad form.
I think your right it is anything they can make it to get the tax revenue. That and only that is what it is all about!!!
DUH I sure hope YOU can convince your collegues of that...those that stand to make all that money if it passes...because I spent 3 hours on the phones on Friday morning SAYING THE VERY SAME THING and NO ONE would listen to ME!
Why do I get the feeling Pawlenty is merely the latest RINO turd to float to the top of the crap stew that the Republican party has become?
Sanford sinks, Pawlenty pops up. The heat continues to boil the pot. Pretty soon Pawlenty will epic fail, making room for the next chunk of feces.
I was about to say “the (R) party has let itself become a bucket of crap”.
But that’s not fair.
We the people have allowed this.
It's the red of Communism, wrapped in GREEN!
Tell him it would also cede sovereignty to the United Nations, giving UP our energy security not protecting it as the falsely named bill claims. Read the bill the United Nations is cited 22 times as the authority that the secretary of state and secretary of energy are supposed to submit to in determining regulations fees and fines that are to be forced on American citizens. Since no one in congress has read the bill, apparently they refused to read it so they could cede US sovereignty to the United Nations and then claim “I didn’t know!”. It’s exactly the same stunt they pulled with NAFTA, but of course we know better now.
Tell the governor this. This bill is toxic and radioactive.
I know that somewhere, hidden in this bill, is a requirement that everyone in the U.S. must stop breathing and releasing CO2 into the atmosphere at least three days each week. I imagine there is also a section covering flatulence. A waiver has probably been added to exclude Congress.
You know of course that the ‘green movement’ started with the green party in Germany. The socialists looked very bad after Hitler so they changed the name of their party and created the false religion of environmentalism to promote their agenda. Every thing ‘green’ in this country, including Al Gore, is a direct descendant of German Nazi socialism.
Why don’t you read it? Its at thomas.loc.gov. It is your civic duty to do so.
Misguided? That’s the strongest thing he can say about it? I liked the POS remark a lot better!
now just temper your commentary on Palin. Very bad form.
I agree. I understand that they will have to go after her during the primaries but why start now...does not make sense.
I would probably go through it at least twice with a fine tooth comb if I was going to vote on it. ;o) Unfortunately, after Friday, it appears that I have no say in what THIS government does. ;o)
It has not passed the Senate and you still have time to oppose it.
Whoops...maybe THAT’s what he said, not Communism...it was probably socialism...sorry! Thanks for the info.
