Oddly, I'm glad to see it. We've been doing the heavy lifting for Europe for many years. Let them take care of messes closer to their homes than ours. At least Obama's hands off approach has forced Europe to get off their butts.

Europe is not/not taking a leading role in peacekeeping. Most European countries are spending about 1% of GDP on defense. They must choose between guns and butter and they are choosing butter. We will be in the same situation in the not too distant future.
