I wonder how much it will take for the military to take back our country?

“that doesnt change the fact that the BO foreign policy people would have a hard time finding their *ss with both hands”.
Actually, I think they are right on message as far as their foreign policy goes. Apologize and coddle dictators and shun longtime traditional allies. I don’t see them as being naive or behind the power curve. I view them in a much more dim light.

Nothing our government does surprises me either, and yes, I share your "disturbed" attitude that Obama and the Secretary of State would produce such a shallow pronouncement. From all available news reports, the only reason this transfer wasn't more orderly was that the occupant of the big house in Honduras refused to follow the will of the people. It seems our executive has taken the side of the deposed ex-president of Honduras.

As far as I can tell, the president tried to illegally void part of their constitution on term limits - and tried to install himself again over the ruling of their supreme court to NOT do that. Isn't this exactly what Michael Bloomberg did in New York City?

Dang it!...I miss all the fun.
Lived in La Ceiba for a while back in the '80s.
Most Americans don't it, but the US Army Corp of Engineers basically built the highway and bridges infrastructure of Hondo-Land during the mid-80s. Graded and paved the roads, built drainage and installed culverts and 12 - 20 ton gvw bridges for the country.

The military didn't act on its own in Honduras it had lawful orders from the Honduran Congress.
I would not expect our military to act without lawful orders either. Now, if we can get the House to impeach and the Senate to remove I am sure that either the Army or the Marines will be glad to select an appropriate unit to escort 0chicago from the WH premises.

Took me about 20 seconds to figure out "IYCFA" (If You Can Find Any)I was expecting an inquiry from someone on that. You're good! I am terrible at deciphering new acronyms.
It seems our executive has taken the side of the legally deposed ex-president of Honduras.
Taking his side and trying to prop up his lie. Every night I turn in thinking I can't possibly despise this poseur any more than I do. Every morning I log back on to FR and find out that I can.

I'm not at all certain why Barack is so “concerned” about this...
Bet your wrong! Concern not for Zelaya, but for the precedent.

Obama is trying to undo any Honduran good will which might be left over from that period. Thanks for your services. I remember that various state National Guard construction units would do their active duty training in Honduras and get some real world experience. (I guess with Corps design?) It was a win win situation. They would get the training & Honduras got the infrastructure.
Honduras is the poorest country in Central America and certainly doesn't need any leftest leaders. In the good old days, their currency used to be pegged to the US Dollar so they were not subject to the typical Latin American inflation. I hope they do not have to be poor and live under tyranny.
Paraguay had a constitutional ban of presidential succession. Strausser would pull this kind of thing every time his term was up and was almost president for life.

Joint USA/Venezuela armed intervention against the Honduran people being considered by our head Obobble and Chevez. Venezuelan command.

He is now rattling his sabers and saying he won’t sit by and allow this “coup” to hold. Now I wonder what that means.

I don’t think you need to worry about the Army siding with a dictator.
