Congressmen and senators have departed Washington, D.C., for the July 4 recess. But unlike ordinary Americans who may take a break from their normal jobs for the holiday week, Republicans will be busy taking time to rally voters and prepare for the giant legislative battles which await them upon their return.
Roll Call reports that Republicans are hoping to call attention to cap-and-trade, health care, and other items on the liberals wish list:

I hope they find a voice and begin preaching liberty and freedom very loudly. They need to tell every American how turning your health care to the government will be the end of freedom as we’ve known it. Every future election would be about health care. You wouldn’t dare criticize your government for fear of retribution. The government will dictate every aspect of your lives, even more than they do now.
Republican leaders need a loud and persistent voice to rally the nation around freedom!
Someone wrote in replies to the article that the pubbies can change their vote until July 2. Does anyone know if this is true?
I heard that Democrats were part of the tea parties too...of course they are the blue dog republicans. I thought the beauty of the tea parties was that they were bipartisan.
Tyrants care not what the ruled think.
The tyrants in congress and the WH voted for TARP I under Bush-O-Socialist. They continued with all the other redistribution of wealth plans with no care what voters wanted.
I fear we have only one course of action remaining to regain our liberty.
