Obama’s foreign policy is as ‘good’ as his domestic policy.

“Actually Venezuela has F-16s and Su-30s”
With absolutely NO WAY of supporting them on an extended range mission...
Just so much expensive and worthless junk without a logistics tail to support them.

And Im sure the Honduran military is afraid of the mighty Venezuelan army. Come on, the Venezuelan army might intimidate unarmed civilians, but I sincerely doubt that they can handle a trained and armed military force. Aside from which, the Venezuelan armed forces have no way of getting to Honduras. It's 1400 miles from Caracas to Tegucigalpa -- via air or sea, or four other countries by land.
The Venezuelan Air Force and the Venezuelan Navy, together, would be hard pressed to transport and support a platoon.

...it appears some of the quacks are not very far off. 'Well informed' is, if not more accurate, at least not as condescending a way to characterize "hardcore" FReepers as "quacks" is.

No irony whatsoever. Jimmy Carter’s second term policy being implemented by Hussein. Let’s all thank the GOP controlled congress and compassionate conservatism for paving the way to this latest meddling in South American affairs. On the side of the Marxist dictators.

I havent seen a single tv news story about MJ. I dont have a TV so I get to chose what news I see. You should try it. I'm much in the same boat -- except I have a teevee. Don't watch it, don't miss it.

Why wouldn’t Chavez move in? Who’s going to stop him? After all, the US president has sent his signals - that this country will do nothing in the face of tyranny.
To: Rick_Michael
The Obama administration worked in recent days to prevent President Zelayas ouster, a senior U.S. official said. The State Department, in particular, communicated to Honduran officials on the ground that President Obama wouldnt support any non-democratic transfer of power in the Central American country. So no mention that the deposed had broken the law in broad daylight in order to force a referendum that would make him essentially ruler for life even when the country's Supreme Court had ruled the referendum illegal. Where is the rule of law in the deposed one's actions, Hillary and Obama?

Why wouldnt Chavez move in? How does he get there? Caracas to Tegucigalpa is 1400 miles -- via air or sea. He has no air force, nor a navy worthy of the term. It's even further by land -- traversing four other countries (Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua).
Chavez can't do anything...but bluster.

Venezuelan president Chavez says he will do "everything necessary" to abort the military coup in Honduras.
The proper U.S. response to Chavez has four letters, starts with 'B', ends in 'M', and has a couple of 'oh's in the middle.
