Haley Barbour was the RNC Chair when Gingrich engineered the victory of 1994. He has strong media skills, and understands the game better than any recent GOP spokesman. As an attractive conservative he will far outstrip Sanford or Steele in the public arena.
I gather there are some who quibble about his performance as governor of MS but he is a strong player and we need him out there.
I agree. He took some heat here in Iowa this week for some of his remarks but by golly, when examining the success he's had in Mississippi, his way works.
I'll take his lead.
