Rove is good at diagnosing what the rats are up to next and perhaps a post, such as he currently has, on FNC, is where he belongs.
You are absolutely correct however that the win at any cost group should be avoided like the plague.
We had the sorry spectacle of people like Karl Rove, John McCain, and Lindsay Graham castigating their fellow Republicans who opposed amnesty using such epithets as bigots, racists, and nativists. These criticisms just reinforce the Democrat branding of the GOP and alienate minorities who perceive that they are not welcome in the party. Moreover, being branded as a racist political party hurts the GOP in recruiting new members, regardless of race or ethnicity. America is not a racist country and no one wants to be associated with a racist organization.
I can't forgive Rove for what he did. And he still believes that we should have an amnesty, i.e., legalize the status of the 12 to 30 million illegals. I know you believe the number is much higher than the government's estimate of 12 million. Rove still has a lot of influence in the party and he is not a conservative.
