"The marxist fraud has been NAILED!!!"

No he hasn't. This is still pretty thin brew and will not escalate beyond WND's little amen chorus unless it goes well beyond pattern-matching and secret decoder rings. It's simply not actionable, as much as it satisfies some around here, and is one of those crank-ish things that the mere mention of causes reasonable folks to back slowly away.

Spanky, it was from American Thinker, one of the most read and respected blogs existing.

Seriously, each writer has “chords” and “progressions” as unique as a guitarist. Just as you can pick out your favorite band’s sound even from an unheard piece of music, a writer’s little details do not lie. Bill Ayers and Barack Obama are two distinct people and cannot write that closely alike in the LITTLE things, the unconscious things. It’s not possible.

“It’s simply not actionable”

That’s not true. Rumor and innuendo hurt people all the time. Why not Obama.

Though actionable, it’s not likely to work, since Obama is a golden, untouchable Democrat among untouchable Democrats.

That being said, I don’t consider this crankery. His methods may be crap, and all the research done to this point may not amount to a hill of beans for academics and the like, I don’t know. However, this isn’t like the Birth Certificate or Obama being a secret muslim. Reasonable folks should be reminded that politicians, like many celebrities, employ ghostwriters ALL THE TIME. It’s as common as rain in April.

What bothers me is not so much plagiarism. If he cheated on his thesis paper at Harvard, that would be a big deal. But when it comes to non-writer celebrities writing, there’s a traditional nudge-nudge, wink-wink thing. What irks me is the common assertion that Obama is among the greatest politician/writers in American history. Of course, they modify the claim by saying he is the greatest memoir writer, or something, thereby dodging comparisons to Lincoln, Jefferson, Madison, Adams, etc. Of course, by sidestepping them, they fall right on the graves of truly great memoirists like Franklin and Grant.

RightOn,

Thin brew?

Just ask for the supporting documents, that's all.

Where are the book notes and the first draft?

Might make a good billboard question.
