To: Seeing More Clearly Now

To add to your excellent post, here is how two men a generation apart in age were in the same place at the same time. Ayers evolved from street demonstrations to undergroud experiences to deciding that controlling early education was the best path for his Revolution. I agree with you that student Obama came into Ayers, and probably, Stanley Dunham’s life during the early ‘80s.

From Wikipedia:
After leaving the underground, he (Ayers) earned an M.Ed from Bank Street College in Early Childhood Education (1984)[age 40], an M.Ed from Teachers College, Columbia University in Early Childhood Education (1987) and an Ed.D from Teachers College, Columbia University in Curriculum and Instruction (1987).

Obama graduated from Columbia in 1983 but did not move to Chicago until 1985.

Obama graduated from Columbia College in 1983 and briefly entered the commercial world, staying in New York for a little more than a year after graduation. He was employed by Business International Corporation before moving to the activist New York Public Interest Research Group.

During this period, Obama spent three months working for a NYPIRG offshoot up in Harlem, trying to convince the minority students at City College about the importance of recycling.

In 1985, some leftists were looking for someone who could recruit in a black neighborhood in the south side of Chicago and Obama applied for the position as a community organizer for the Developing Communities Project (DCP) of the Calumet Community Religious Conference (CCRC) in Chicago. The "Project" was funded with a $25,000 grant by Bill Ayers' Woods Fund.
