WASHINGTON – Stymied by Congress so far, the White House is considering issuing an executive order to indefinitely imprison a small number of Guantanamo Bay detainees considered too dangerous to prosecute or release, two administration officials said Friday.

This action would be a blatant admission by the President that he came into office without the first clue about what he wanted to accomplish or how he wanted to accomplish it. How else can one interpret countermanding his own executive order four months after he issued it?

And to imagine that a sizable portion of the American population has somehow (I for the life of me can't imagine how) formed the opinion that this man knows something about managing health care. Or "climate change." Or much of anything, for that matter.

I see him as nothing more than a skillfully manipulative ingenue.
