Jackson. A very convenient death for Obama.

It is all just a coincidence. Right?

Are you saying Michael Jackson’s death kept you from being on the phone today?

I hope the maggots in the “media” refer to this massive tax increase as being “historic.” The people living in this country seem to be into “historic” these days.

Chris Dodd has announce that the "powers that be" do not want him to pursue corruption charges against ACORN. Only Dodd can pursue charges against ACORN, aka The New Stasi?

Well, at least Clinton was smart enough to make his own news during each bimbo eruption or criminal scandal that arose from his and Hillary’s treason and infidelity.
Obama does not have the guts to lob a few cruise missles at Muslim targets — after all, he is still counting on their support for elections in 2010 and 2012.....

The people living in this country seem to be into historic these days. Those historic lovers are going to cause the USA to be History if this crap continues.
This years, I expect the Illegal Amnesty bill to pass, and Health Crime bill to pass and we won't be able to do a damn thing about it.

Well, hold your skepticism until the Senate vote.
If that is overrun by news of another celebrity death that overshadows the vote, then we need to start a “Chicagocide” list.

That being said, while I doubt that MJ was killed by politicians, they are certainly making the most of this opportunity. I don't doubt that there has been a conscious decision on the part of the Democrat leadership to take advantage of the Jackson news blackout to push cap and tax through as quickly as possible.
At least for now, I have faith that it will die in the Senate.

Chris Dodd has announce that the "powers that be" do not want him to pursue corruption charges against ACORN...actually, according to Glenn Beck today, it was Conyers who claimed "higher ups" (who turned out to be himself) didn't want ACORN investigated, and Conyers wife who was convicted of some corruprion or another (it all runs together in one big blur) - the Dodd connection was that Congress was supposed to be investigating his sweetheart deals with Country-Wide and BofA, but it was just learned that no subpoenas for his documents from either agency has ever been issued by Congress - the mind boggles......

Exactly. This orgy of absorption in another bizarre show business death is at best a sign of a vulgarized society - at worst a deliberate distraction.
I notice that Fox - which seems to have wall to wall coverage - lost about 600,000 prime time viewers to its competitors. My wife and I were among the losses. We turned off Fox and watched old Poirot mysteries.
