Rush said his sources claim the bill has been pulled.
“Rush said his sources claim the bill has been pulled.”
Too many defections in the trial vote?
E-mailed Paul Tonko and left specific messages at both his Albany and DC offices. The secretaries were very nice and sounded as if he would get the messages, but I’m afraid he’ll fall into lockstep with his other Big Brothers...
Rush just reported it MAY have been pulled from further discussion?!?!?!?!? If so, it is hugh and series!!!!
I see Kirkpatrick (D-AZ) is still “undecided.” I’ve raised just about all the hell with her that I can. LOTS of coal burners in her district. She really needs to get her act together on this. She’s on some shaky ground.
That will help how exactly?
Ooooops, sorry - Biggert must be solid “NO”....
why would ANY Republican vote for this thing??
It does have an effect. The staff does tally calls on legislation. It may sound futile but it isn’t. We can stop this bill.
We shouldn’t just concentrate on republicans. I wrote to my socialist rep and reminded him that my county is up to nearly 17% unemployment and that if I end up paying another $1200 to heat my home, he will pay a political price. (I also reminded him that he only won by 2%)
Just called Frelinghysen’s office in Morristown, NJ, and was told he is voting against the bill.
I’ve been all over my Rep. (Lincoln Davis) about this and based on his email replies, I had the feeling he planned to vote “nay”. VERY glad to see his name in the “solid no” list.
If they actually get this to a vote and he does vote “nay”, I owe him a big THANK YOU.
I hope this monstrosity is dead in the water.
I am so happy that all 7 of Alabama’s representatives are voting no. Thankfully they are listening to their constituents. :) I called all of them yesterday and everyone of the offices confirmed a no vote.
Question: How do you handle calls to reps who are not your own? They always ask whether you live in the district and what your address is (so they can tell who’s pretending). What strategy do you use to avoid being ignored or written off?
I think we may very well win this. (Crossing my fingers and praying)
I tell them I live in the state they represent and that I have friends and family that live in their district who vote. :) Always works.
Done,
here is my letter:
DO NOT VOTE YES ON THIS CrAP AND TRAITOR BILL!
WE THE PEOPLE are not as stupid as the people we elect. This is nothing more than more taxes and misery for the American People.
And we know what is coming down the pike, taking away our freedom of speech on the airwaves w/ the fairness act. Taking away our healthcare and then what, our guns?
How much more do you think we will take? The Constitution is being taught again because of people like you, the American people are waking up, and as Tojo said, we are a sleeping giant, and Japan found out the hard way.
Just remember what happened after the tea parties.

MSN said the test vote passed.
I have contacted my congressmen on behalf of my husband and myself but only one is not on the Yes list.
write them anyway, tell them it’s over, don’t bother to run, we know who they are, send them feathers, not cause they are chickens, cause we will bring the tar!
If it was good enough for our Founding fathers it’s good enough for us.
keep the pressure on, DO NOT STOP! This is war!
