Its official. Flies now have a longer life-expectancy than the political viability of most 2012 GOP presidential contenders. At least the male contenders.
Two weeks after David Lettermans forced apology to Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska, and days after Governor Mark Sanford of South Carolina teamed with Senator John Ensign of Nevada for admittance to the Adulterer/Hypocrite Hall of Shame, Palin is starting to appeal to more and more Republicans and Americans. As well she should.
Hillary Clinton certainly proved that the citizens of our nation are prepared to vote for a woman. Absent a questionable campaign strategy, she could be in the Oval Office right now -- or at 3 AM -- deciding how best to deal with Iran, the economy, and Joe Bidens curious mind. Regardless, there is no doubt that a woman will soon lead our nation and obviously, not a moment too soon.
Now, while the left, their handmaidens in the media, alleged feminists, and various late-night comics will flat out tell you that its over for Sarah Palin, I would beg to differ. Despite the most unprofessional, unethical, and unrelenting character assassination in modern U.S. political history, not only is she still standing tall, but still retains that it factor. She is very comfortable in her own skin, believes what she believes, and is not afraid to challenge the tenets of political correctness or speak-up for traditional values when needed. Attributes that tens of millions of Americans believe actually qualifies someone to be president.

Palin/Bachmann 2012
The last? Or the first of many?
That would be a beautiful ticket. I love Michelle Bachmann and not just because she is another beautiful GOP lady. Such a ticket would send liberals into snarly foaming rage.
I like her. She will have my enthusiastic vote if its her.
But whether its her or someone else, that someone is going to be hit with every dirty charge, every dirty trick, every kind of gotcha, and they will do everything they can to make you think your candidate is unelectable. It is going to take some courage of your convictions and some mental clarity to ignore the storm of attacks and innuendos and mockery that will be turned their way.
Palin has already been the target of this kind of thing and its only going to get worse as long as they consider her a threat. If some other candidate starts to look viable, they’ll get the same treatment. If you get your opinions from the media, and from weak-kneed Repubs, you won’t be able to stay the course and we’ll wind up with another McCain. McCain redux. Son of McCain. And that will give us another Obama, or Clinton, or some other leftist populist fraud.
ROFL!!! Sometimes the best man for a job is a woman! :)
GO SARAH!
Spot-on. And she's very charismatic and has loads of common sense. It all adds up to her scaring the Left out of their petty little minds.
Yes that is true. Sometimes the best thing that can happen is to be torn down to the core and build from there. I just like the idea of getting behind a candidate that isn’t a compromise. A candidate that doesn’t let the left set the ground rules. It makes me sick seeing the GOP ready to cede ground all over the place while not realizing that is a recipe to continue to lose. What they need is to stop accepting the false premises of the left and we need candidates that are not afraid. Sarah has taken a beating for what? That she does what she says she will do, she believes in God, she believes in conservative salt of the earth values, and dares to believe in the popular sovereignty of the citizen. If the values of Sarah Palin are no longer acceptable in today’s USA then is this country worth having?
Yes, but if *they* were going to find out anything critical of Sarah, it already would have been used against her. She's been vetted, and unless something really creepy happens between now and 2012, Sarah may be the most electable candidate.
And I like her too.
The more the left ratchet up the attacks, the more I know she’s the real thing.
That is what I find refreshing about her. I hear over and over again that we want honest politicians, people that keep their word, and speak the truth. Then politicians like Barack Obama are elected and good women like Sarah Palin are attacked relentlessly. It is sickening.
Seems like a female Ronald Reagan, perhaps.
Nice. Those values were once, (not long ago) very common and have been replaced by a forced collectivism of questionable 'value'.
I'm not sure how we return to individual freedom as the highest virtue a society can bestow it's citizens- as we've traveled so far off the path.
What's refreshing about the Palins is it seems they've got the vision to correct the course ('cause they live it and never lost it?) and Sarah exudes confidence that'll be tough for any opponent (even with the help of the media) to shake. Imagine her drawing crowds like no other candidate has, ever. It could happen as Americans awaken from the socialist, 'hopeychangey' spell Obysmal has cast.
And my vote as well.
” I love Michelle Bachmann and not just because she is another beautiful GOP lady”
But that is what you posted, what would she contribute to a Republican ticket and what would her goals be.
“Such a ticket would send liberals into snarly foaming rage”
Might I suggest that this is a poor reason to choose presidential candidates. I had rather see “snarly foaming rage” because their oppressive policies are being rolled back. I want a team that has a vision for a free, prosperous and secure America and a plan to achieve that. I will support that team, if they can inspire people with their vision and I feel they can put their plan into action, even if it doesn’t include a “beautiful GOP lady”.
There are only really two paths. America can wakeup fully which is something that I doubt. It is more likely to shift back like it has before only to stall but not turn back the socialist and leftist clock. This could easily change if the economy tanks bad enough or America is attacked. Those variables can not be easily tallied. If the soft rot of liberalism continues as it is then eventually the Islamists will turn the clock way back and maybe that is the way it is supposed to be. I hope not but it has happened before. Societies become so narcissistic and weak thinking they are so more modern, so more enlightened, and so large that they can not fail and yet they did.
I had a huge argument with a lefty tonight who called Sarah a moron at dinner.
Typical fop elitist.
Where did I suggest I’d be voting for them because they are beautiful? They could be ugly as sin and I’d still think their policies and view points were attractive. It is always about policies and record. Both of these ladies have excellent records and support policies I would support and have a toughness to them. That the left is enraged by them is all the better because that is the best indicator that they are hitting the nerve that must be hit. I support Sarah Palin because she is good for America and represents the values and policies that would roll back the leftist policies of Obama. If I saw any wavering to this I would not support her no matter how beautiful.
Who do you have in mind for President?
How is she a moron? Probably because she is a Christian. Sometimes I could just beat the living daylights out of some on the left. How lucky they are that I am a Christian.
