"The problems of our country are complex and we’re going to need input from everybody.”

OK, my input is that people should be hired based on their qualifications, not the color of their skin, the number of X chromosomes they have, or their sexual orientation.

I agree 100% — quota systems are bad and give unqualified people.

The Republicans were working real hard to increase the number of homosexual staffers and then the Mark Foley scandal broke wide open ~ seems all the folks in charge of the page operations were gay and none of them were willing to keep Mark from trying to play with the pages.

Ever since the 2006 loss there's been little interest on the part of either party to hire in more minorities of any kind ~ to say nothing of bringing in more homosexuals and pedophiles.

If they are counting noses by color they should take a look at the ratio of white to black on the NFL and NBA team rosters.

“Even with the first black president and African-Americans and Hispanics wielding more power than ever in Congress, there are just two Senate chiefs of staff who are minorities. In the lower chamber, there are only five white lawmakers who have African-American chiefs of staff. And only four African-Americans are staff directors of either House or Senate committees, according to statistics prepared for this article.”

Why does it make a difference if white lawmakers have an African-American chief of staff? It is just taken for granted that African-American congressmen will have a black chief of staff? What is the racial make-up of the staffs of African-American congressmen? If they are disproportionately black, is that ok because it’s a black congressman?

I like this rule. It avoids discriminatory hiring, but overcomes some of the inertia that makes it harder to open up some fields.

Now can we get a network TV Rooney rule? When there’s an opening, the news department has to interview at least one conservative...

We already have a lesser qualified minority person in the Oval Office.

Enough is enough.

I was watching the Detroit Tiger game today and was noticing the fairly even ratio of black, white, and hispanic (not a race really) players. Apparently they’re only racist against asians.

Ya know, I’ve noticed there aren’t a lot of Korean or Filipino players in pro football.

Discrimination!

If it worked for football it's because so many of the players were already African-American.

It's going to be harder to justify something like this in national politics.

So, does that mean Bozo should hire some Chinese advisors(Chinese of American citizenship of course)? Or maybe Vietnamese or Koreans? I think orientals are grossly under represented on the WH staff.

Didn’t Citibank get $300 billion in bailout money from us? And now they’re pushing for affirmative action in Congress?

I want my ~$2,000 share in their bailout back.
