S.C. GOP Leader Says Straying Gov Should Resign

If Sanford resigned, that would make it LESS likely that either Senator would be elected Governor, since Andre Bauer would be the sitting Governor in 2010 and already plans to run for the office whether or not he's the incumbent. It's much harder to defeat a sitting Governor in the primary.

Plus, with two Senators, you'd be equally likely to have DeMint (probably more likely since DeMint is more popular with the rank and file SC Republicans)

How you figure Sanford's resignation = "Governor Graham" is beyond me. That's quite a stretch. Sounds like the weird rats who believed calls for Clinton's resignation was kind of evil plot that would result in "President Newt Gingrich" Hell if we impeached Obama, we could have "Republican President Gates"... all you'd have to do is find a way to get Biden, Pelosi, Byrd, and Hilderbeast all out of the way first.
