Perhaps you don't know the meaning of RIP = Requiescant in pacem / Rest in Peace. How-some-ever I am sorry for his death but it is the overdone coverage that I am protesting. This is the kind of thing that is best covered by an organized retrospective after the dust clears. Breathless news conferences and overhead shots of the hospital are meaningless pap filling air time.

Since you clarified your protestation, I will clarify mine. All of your criticism came within less than 3 hours of the breaking news coverage. I REALLY don't think an infamous person like Michael Jackson is going to get just top of the hour coverage, only, when there is lots of questions about his death.
