Well, that might have been the preferred nomenclature when he was a kid, so it’s acceptable. Except you have to wonder why bring it up, since it never seemed to be much of an issue, so far as I remember.

Shep is a ‘Drama Queen’ and it was his way of pointing that being a colored kid is the lowest form of life and he went on to be the greatest human being to ever walk the face of the earth.
