ABC's White House special struggled for viewers President Obama's town hall meeting on health care delivered a sickly rating Wednesday evening.
The one-hour ABC News special "Primetime: Questions for the President: Prescription for America" (4.7 million viewers, 1.1 preliminary adults 18-49 rating) had the fewest viewers in the 10 p.m. hour. The special tied some 8 p.m. comedy repeats as the lowest-rated program on a major broadcast network.
The special was shot at the White House and featured the president answering questions about his health care plan. The president's primary message was that those who like their current insurance will be able to keep it and that taking no action will result in higher health care costs.
The special drew fire from Republican leadership after refusing to allow an official opposition response, or even a paid ad. ABC also interviewed Obama on "Good Morning America" to help promote the special.
“Nobody cares about Obama or his plan to socialize”.....
They better start caring and damn fast!
From what I understand we would have been better off if more people saw it, because Obama bombed on it. Didn’t answer questions, made a crack about killing seniors to save money... Oh that’s going to make a great campaign commercial
It was a Peter Brady party.
With such a shockingly low rating, 0 and abc have taken the arrows from the one-sided infomercial and gained nothing.
HA HA
Expensive commercial for ABC - and nobody paid for it. LOL.
Oh shoot, it was last night?
There is one after all..
Somewhere in Hell Karl Marx is smiling.....
anyone have a video of that comment?
There is a difference.
Once you figure out that he says only what is convenient at the time, subject to change at will, you stop listening. I did that with the slickster; it wasn't worth taking the time to hear him speak. You knew he wouldn't stand behind anything he said.
“Primetime: Questions for the President: Prescription for America”
No wonder is was a bomb. Most people tune out after the first colon. This one had two.

Ha ha ha.
oh that’s good.. real good
Let’s be fair. ABC had some very tough competition. There was the Rockies getting slammed and then this show about hot chocolate on Food Network . . . .
ABC could’ve had a ratings coup if they’d only aired some of the White House Wednesday night concerts and trotted out Bo to show the new tricks the family dog has learned.
Was Katie Couric hosting?
“So I can keep my current plan and the Govt. will pay for it? Sounds good to me. “
Yeah, until they start altering the deal.
ABC had a special on? /sarc
