I prefer NEED of guns, not love of guns.
As usual, the reporter references a “semi auto machine gun”. Even in an article fairly sympathetic to gun owners, the reporter can’t get it right.
“Economy, Fears of Obama Intensify Love of Guns in S.C.”
I wouldn’t term it a love of guns; rather a need for guns in support of a love for freedom.
That's still a little better than "automatic revolver".

Free Republic was the reason I bought my automatic revolver. There was a thread about a priest who defended his flock with a .45 auto revolver. That prompted me to buy my .357 magnum automatic revolver.
I should have bought a dozen while I had the chance.
Nothing wrong with loving to possess arms. Thomas Jefferson did. He wrote:
One loves to possess arms, though they hope never to have occasion for them.

Not really there have been automatic, or a least semiautomatic, revolvers.
Webley-Fosbery Automatic Revolver
There has never been, and can never be, a "semi auto machine gun", as that is a contradiction in terms. A machine gun must be capable of full auto fire, or it's not a machine gun.
Oddly, there is such a thing. I believe one was made by a firm called Webly-Fosbery
