A Connecticut church posted a controversial video on YouTube that raised questions about the treatment of children by a leader of a gay and lesbian teen mentoring group among others
The video features church elders performing what looks like an exorcism, of what they refer to in the video as "homosexual demons"
The video shows leaders of the Manifested Glory Ministries in a frenetic scene, screaming, "Right now I command you to leave!"
At the same time a teen writhing on the ground as the adults around him implore so called "homosexual demons" to get out.
The leaders yell at the boy on the ground saying, "Right now in the name of Jesus, I call the homosexuality, right now in the name of Jesus."
For 20 minutes it continues with the boy in a near seizure, even vomiting.
By the looks of it, and the repeated references to his sexual orientation, it appears to be a gay exorcism.
Prophet Patricia McKinney and her husband, church overseer Kelvin McKinney have a weekly radio show. She wasn't much interested in talking, telling Fox 61's Laurie Perez, "Don't be following, I'm telling you no."
The only hint of a comment was her saying the ritual shown in the video is just one part of their ministry.
Robin McHaelen runs a mentoring program for gay teens,True Colors, and says she knows of 5 other teens in Connecticut who've been subjected to "demon casting."
She said, "What really freaked me out is the people who did that to that child wasn't because they were trying to hurt him. They thought they were trying to help him, but I think it that they murdered his soul."
Working out of this corner business unit in the industrial part of the city, the Manifested Glory Ministry lists no specific denomination.
The church has recently taken down its YouTube account, but the video is still posted on other sites.
Did it work?
Does the drama ever end?
(paging Drama Queen...)
Did they cast out a gerbil along with a demon?
I smell SETUP
He ASKED to be treated. and they have video!
I think this is a bit weird, but don’t see why it is so awful.
The boy was near vomiting and writhing.....because somebody was yelling at him?
That makes no sense. Those kind of symptoms are not associated with those people causing them just by doing an exorcism.
There are demons, and maybe he actually had one. I am skeptical, but who knows.
I agree. There is nothing here that denotes abuse.
Yeah that statement is no only stupid but is just trying to hype the situation.
LMAO, I thought maybe a couple of ping pong balls...
Then again, it is TV, what do you expect. Local tv news is terrible compared to paper coverage even though both may have the same bias.
She said, “What really freaked me out is the people who did that to that child wasn’t because they were trying to hurt him. They thought they were trying to help him, but I think it that they murdered his soul.”
If he is performing perverted homosexual acts then his soul was already gone...
Indeed, that was the first question that popped to my mind.
LOL
It was not a ‘gay’ demon.
It was a Jin.
Think about it.
Here's a video of another one in need of exorcism.
(Contains profanity.)
Gulbuth the Rampant is alive and well on Planet Earth.
I don’t think this is child abuse as much as it’s just plain silly.
As someone who doesn’t believe in “demons”, such a ritual seems like nothing but twisted theater for the congregation.
As the demon was being expelled they all thought they saw Rue Paul!
I'm sure that Elton John would love to scratch that.
Good God that is weird. That is just weird. Why is she hitting him for??? He doesn’t exactly have the most straight way of holding the kid...lol. What do the parents have to say about this? Why not have an interview???
