If you were in Vietnam then I am a Chinese jet jockey. Farrahs swimsuit poster was printed in 1976. Send me a nice photo of your campaign medals.
You joined today to post this ridiculous comment to me on a thread from six months ago? On a post where I was QUOTING SOMEONE ELSE who said they were in Vietnam.
Either you've exceeded the legal alcohol limit, or the Obama school for seminar trolls has reached bottom.
From Wikipedia: “Fawcett was a sex symbol whose iconic poster, released the same year Charlie’s Angels premiered, broke sales records, making her an international pop culture icon. ... The series formally debuted on September 22, 1976”.
The poster was released in 1976.
From Wikipedia: “The Vietnam War, also known as the Second Indochina War, was a Cold War military conflict that occurred in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from September 26, 1959[1] to April 30, 1975.”
The war ended in 1975.
If you were in some sort of mop-up or continuing operation on a naval vessel, perhaps your memory is correct. You, however, specifically mention basecamp. It still would be possible if the basecamp was not in-country.
So Laz’s Mythbusters cannot call this Busted. It is declared ‘Undetermined’. It could have happened this way, but you could not be in-country with Farah’s poster. Just couldn’t happen quite like that.
