watching the stars with absolutely no people lights on the horizon.

We grew up in a rural area Dust & I do so remember the sky without all this residual light.

There was a huge old mulberry tree on our land that was perfect for climbing up into.

It's branches bent down to the ground & it was almost like a cave.

And oh the yummy ripe mulberries!

If I came in with purple stained fingers it was a dead giveaway where I had been!:)

We had a mulberry tree about a mile away from home. We could ride our bikes down the road to it, pick our hearts out and be home before being missed. It is over one hundred years old now and still it survives the high plains. Bent by the wind but providing shelter in its cover.

What a neat memory. Sometimes neat things happen when you just relax and enjoy the world around you. And thank you for your service to our country.

Keep the inspiration going.

The statue of the Minuteman shows a farmer with a plow in one hand and rifle in the other, a reminder

No matter how you work it, freedom is not free.

No matter how you work it, freedom is not free.

This is so true...and it may have to be retested.
