Two hundred years are way too long for political parties. Both parties go back two hundred years. The Dems go back to Thomas Jefferson -though he would not even recognize the Democratic Party of today. The Republicans also go back two hundred years through a circuitous route as they are derived from the Federalist Party which then became the Whig Party which became the Republican Party.

Two hundred years are way too long for political parties. Embedded, with engraved systemic corruption, passed on from generation to generation of insiders. Neither of these insiders clubs ever get a dime from me. And they never will.
