I don't know much about the 22 latitude phenomena. Only read about that theory for the first time about a week ago. I am not an expert but I have visited SOLARCYCLE24.com for about the past 18 months and have learned some. (disclaimer. I am not recommending Cycle 24.com... FR is the premier site on the internet. Then Drudge. :-) /sarc)
The Chilling Stars is also a great read.
From my reading I conclude the following (so far):
1. Many scientists conclusions are not scientifically based but politically motivated.
2. Scientists know little about the sun.
3. The Sun is incredible interesting.
4. Scientists adjust their ‘predictions’ as time goes by to make it look like they know what they are talking about but when actual data is compared with their predictions from time past it is quite laughable. Absurd really. Think NASA and Hathaway.
5. The sun is starting to ramp up slowly.
6. It will be interesting to see what the next solar maximum will be.
7. The SUN affects climate. Absurd as that sounds to NASA and ALGORE it does.
I could go on but perhaps you get my gist.

This is simply a big concession speech. Including the last two paragraphs.
It’s over, they know it, and they know that we know that they know.
The last warriors, like the Japanese after WWII, have to be flushed out yet. Ried, Gingrich, Pelosie, and a bunch of others.
Gore is simply roadkill.

Think NASA and Hathaway. ...but mainly Hathaway:
Full Disclosure: Agreed on the science, and the lack of real knowledge the practitioners have.
Cheers!

LOL. I was thinking of the other Hathaway but guaranteed Anne would predict the Cycle 24 as good or better than NASA has so far.

I know when *I* look at her too long I see spots before my eyes!

Both have made predictions, time will tell. One of them made predictions and they already found to be wrong.

I haven't seen any pics of them.I have and if someone didn't point out the spot, I never would have found it.

If “El Maroon Al-Goracle” can figure out a way to put some spots on the sun he’d have it made.

The sun might be responsible for heating and cooling???!!!! Why, I’ve never heard of such a thing. (smirk)
