Obviously Sanford knew these emails were about to be released. The local media has been sitting on them for five months. Who released them and why now?
There was probably some sort of blackmail/threat that if he didn’t admit the affair, the emails would go public. Wouldn’t surprise me if the emails/affair was used against him in the whole stimulus debate in SC.
