I agree. Regardless of how I feel about what the guy did, this is a huge invasion of his privacy. I’m appalled that the emails could be gotten and even moreso that they could be printed. And frankly, they don’t contain anything that important. We already know what he did. Sadly, his wife and kids will read these.

Sanford wrote this stuff on a State computer that is subject to public scrutiny. It’s like he wanted to get caught to begin with.
I agree, this is terribly personal, and harmful to his family.
I think his wife found out about these emails months ago, perhaps from an anonymous source on his staff. I agree, it’s a shame they were made public.
