Below are excerpts of e-mails, obtained by The State newspaper in December, between Gov. Mark Sanford and Maria, a woman in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The State has removed the womans full name and other personal details, including her address, e-mail address and childrens name.
Sanfords office Wednesday did not dispute the authenticity of the emails.
McClatchy special correspondent Angeles Mase visited the 14-story apartment building in Buenos Aires Wednesday where the woman lives, according to the emails, which included her address. The woman at the address answered to the name in the emails and, at first, agreed to speak to a visitor, but she declined after the visitor identified herself as a reporter.
The doorman at the building, shown a photograph of Sanford, said he did not recognize him. According to the doorman, the woman has two sons, one a teenager of driving age and the other younger. The emails refer to the womans two sons.

You have a particular grace and calm that I adore. You have a level of sophistication that so fitting with your beauty. I could digress and say that you have the ability to give magnificent gentle kisses, or that I love your tan lines or that I love the curve of your hips, the erotic beauty of you holding yourself Come on guys.. at least invest in a cheap encryption program.
Just yuck.

I don’t condone what he did. I, too, wonder how the paper got these emails. Seems they knew what was going on since a reporter from the paper went to the airport on a “whim” and caught him walking off the plane this morning.... and, yes, I detect the hand of Rahmbo in this as well as Ensign.

No, this is a man crazy hot for a woman. I know.

On top of being a lech with a socialist mindset, the guy is a moron
He is indeed a lech. And "world wind" certainly suggests he is a moron. But even now, I'll defend him against charges of having a socialist mindset.

Yep...the dems seem to have no problem getting into people’s emails. Let’s not forget Foley’s emails, as well as Palin’s. This is the story here imho. At least the one that interests me right now.

The timing is suspicious as well. Right when zeros numbers are sinking and his support for socialized healthcare and capnsteal are on the rocks. If this paper had this info for this long someone was directing them to hold the information for an opportune moment.
Uh, if they knew in December, were they cooperating with the governor in suppressing them? Were they waiting for orders from Rahm as to the timing of their release? Were they waiting for the inevitable slip-up so they could pounce?
This is ridiculous Sanford is the one who bought the plane ticket to Argentina last weekend, not Rahm or SC's newspapers. Clearly the newsmen were working more leads and trying to confirm more pieces of the story before going public; Sanford's disappearance (and public admission of guilt) set the timing of this event. Unless of course Obama bought him those tickets.
Kudos to the SC newspapermen for showing diligence & discipline on the story by not publishing unverified rumor; this is what sets good papers apart from tabloids and blogs. Forwarded emails can be easily fabricated, after all.
Finally, as other people have mentioned, it was Sanford's Republican rivals who started making all the public noise on this story in SC over the weekend one assumes they'd heard rumors on what was brewing, too.

I do worry about her electability. .......... I do think she was wounded in the last election like Dan Quayle was back in the day. Agree totally! I love her, but I really believe the libs will go out of their way to destroy her. Another thing is, there are far too many middle of the road, and left of centers to elect a woman IMO---at least for now.
Another thing, and I realize this is really petty, and do apologize, but she really needs some voice coaching. I know, I know that sounds horrible, but her speeches are difficult to listen to I think. One last thing, and think I'll don my flame suit after this, but please, please do something with her hair. She's such a beautiful, classy, woman and it would be wonderful to see her with a style to match.

They have had the ‘story’ since December(at least that is what they are saying). That is plenty of time to ‘track down leads’. I have seen terror investigations wrap up sooner than that...lol. You feel free to trust our corrupt media and thug presidency..I don’t.

Read his comments about Rush exceeding his “share” of being in the “front row” and then tell me about his deep grounding in conservative philosophy or even just capitalism and the “free market of ideas”.

So Sanford said that about Rush in the emails? I haven’t read the emails yet(just didn’t want to).
It does sound kinda socialist lite, doesn’t it?

No, he said it to a presstitute when discussing who was a “good” voice for the GOP and who was a “bad” voice.
I don't think he was talking Rush with his latina lover.
