No, because evangelicals have asserted their church beliefs onto the party.

Really? So now Judeo-Christian ethical beliefs are to be jettisoned?

So no longer should we expect our leaders to be faithful to their wives and family?

And today, we hold candidates to such a high standard, none can attain it

Today? As far as I know, the US has traditionally expected their leaders to be faithful in marriage, and rightly so. (Except for the JFK's whom the MSM cover for).

If you're a true conservative, you are not wanting to see this change anytime soon, especially in this climate where the liberals are trying to break down the family with their gay legislation, so as to increase DC's influence as Big Daddy.

If you're a true conservative, you want to see your leaders take a responsible role over their families so as to be an example to the weaker among us. Are you sure you are taking a conservative viewpoint on this?

why do people who are not even in in South Carolina line to beat this guy

Obviously, because he had taken a national role as GOP Governor's Chair.

If you take a national role, that opens you up for national criticism.

And Democrats continue to win elections.

If this guy had run for President in '12 and this had come out in the middle of the campaign the Dems certainly would have won a big one.

It's a good thing this thing is getting cleaned up now instead of later in the campaign season.

Then again, until this stuff is confirmed, he still might be gay.

Sure - of course. But again, if it was a man, tranny, shemale, blow-up doll, etc, it would be out by now.

BTW, I hope it wasn’t any of those things.

ROFLOL!

Unless the mistress was a MAN! Of course, in Barney Frank's case, that was a resume enhancer! And he is still in office!

Shades of Clinton. What are you going to Impeach him for?
Taking some personal time even if it was to have an affair.
Personally I don’t care, he can divorce his wife and marry the Argentine Spitfire for all I care.
I liked his politics and still do but being a Republican his Presidential ambitions are over.
So pal as Fred Astaire once said, “Head Down Argentine Way”.

Of course they would have.

Why? Because we do their work for them!

They circle the wagons and retain people who work for them.

We eat our own and cast them out.

As long as we continue as this, Dems hold the power. ALl they need do is let us know someone erred and we kick them out and give the Dems and easy path into power.

It goes back to Saul Alinsky’s book and rule 4, Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

"There is a reason church and politics are separated."

The ACLU and 'Rats need to 'splain this to the muzzies, especially those in Iran.

Just acting like a politician. Jim Kouri did a comparison of politicians and serial killers the traits they share:

” * Superficial charm
* Grandiose sense of self-worth
* Glibness
* Pathological lying
* Lack of remorse
* Manipulation of others

The affective traits include a lack of remorse and/or guilt, shallow affect, a lack of empathy, and failure to accept responsibility. The lifestyle behaviors include stimulation-seeking behavior, impassivity, irresponsibility, parasitic orientation, and a lock of realistic life goals.”

I hope you are prepared for permanent Democrat majorities, then.

I am prepared for a King, but not the one we have now.

I have no voice in what the media chooses to propagate, neither do you. Like it or not Conservatives are held to a higher standard than liberals. If we don't have anyone that can withstand the scrutiny then your premise is probably correct.

On the other hand, I have felt like we pretty much lost our Republic, because of corrupt RINO's in the first place.

Until that King arrives, we are under the rule of imperfect man.

We can survive as sheeple being led around by the liberal elites, or we can stand and work towards betterment, accepting that even our people are imperfect.

One of the best bumper stickers I ever saw said, “Dear Lord, please protect us all from your followers.”

Until you can offer the perfection you demand others, you have no reason to place upon those others.

Let the governor and his wife work it out, as they should. Then, let the voters of South Carolina decide.

“I have felt like we pretty much lost our Republic, because of corrupt RINO’s in the first place. “

This guy is in love with another woman, corrupt? He broke the ultimate promise that you give to a wife. As far as RINO’s I don’t know if he was a good Governor or not.

As cynical as I am, I still get disappointed by politicians sometimes. This one is a disappointment. I knew something was up with this whole disappearance story.

Yep. Hopefully is won't be as bad as Spitzer. But I suspect this will be bandied about for some time to come, mostly to provide cover for Barry's agenda.
