Thank you but I was apologizing for my behavior when I defended him.
I have been disappointed over the years by my party but I will no longer go out on the limb and defend any of them, Sanford was the last straw for me.

Na, never give up...policies are worth defending.
Sanford's sex habits have ZERO to do with stopping universal health care, Iranian nukes, global warming taxes, more bailouts, ect.

Personally, I could care less about Sanford's affair. I believe that's between he and his wife, and none of my business. I felt the same way about Clinton's affair with Monica. I mainly despised Clinton because he dodged the draft and was a blatant, despicable liar. So what really bothers me about Sanford is that there was a lie circulated about “hiking.” Sanford had a lot of qualities I admired: Eagle Scout, Air Guardsman who actually attended drills (unlike another famous one) and a fiscal conservative with a libertarian tilt. But lying is something I cannot abide.
