The nurse that taught my diabetes class for newbies mentioned these drugs. I cannot recall exactly what she said, but think it was that there may be problems with them.

I’m on Metformin, as was most in the class. So far, I’m having success with it, with no real side-effects, but I’m only on 500 mgs - the low dose.

May I just say - I hate this disease.

I was boosted to the maintenance level which is 2000 mgs and it wrecked my stomach. I always felt sick and could be as active as I liked so I took myself off them. I told the Dr about the reaction and she said that it shouldn't be happening but once I went off I feel 100% better. I am still tired all the time and will be asking the Dr about low dose HGH.
