Out of 895 respondents, 24 percent were Republicans, 38 percent Democrats, and 38 percent were independents, according to a June 20 release from CBS News. While the release says the sampling was conducted at random, those numbers are significantly below the 32.6 percent who identify themselves as Republican according to a May survey from the nonpartisan Rasmussen Reports.

Similarly, the Times/CBS poll said 48 percent of respondents had voted for Obama, versus 25 percent for McCain, a nearly two-to-one advantage for Obama supporters.

We need to break the spell of POLL WATCHING in this country. It’s ALWAYS going to be skewed LEFT! Just like Jack’s compass (Pirates) doesn’t read north, they didn’t care because they weren’t going north! Obama’s folks don’t care whether its’ a fair poll, they just want it to reflect approval of their plans which they will foist on us!

No kidding. If you don't want to be hypnotized, don't look the dragon in the eye.

The New York Times didn’t come out strong against the Mullahs at first either - maybe they “empathized” with cheaters.

I don’t care what polls say. Polls are gauges that measure ignorance. I wish we would stop paying attention to polls and instead DO WHAT’S RIGHT.

But alas, since they are such effective staffs used by the left to herd sheep, we will be stuck with them.

Of course, the problem could be that the pollsters are having a hard time finding people who will admit to being Republicans or having voted for John Judas McCain.

Sure is tough to understand why the Times is broke. And nobody watches CBS.

Someone said it best on this board yesterday and I am paraphrazing.

The media is run by liberals, creating shows by liberals, directed and produced by liberals and all the actors are liberals. And they expect Conservatives to watch their shows, why?

Did the other 27% not vote, not remember who they voted for, refuse to say who they voted for, or what? Maybe they were evenly divided between Ralph Nader, Cynthia McKinney, and the Socialist Workers’ candidate.

"I wish we would stop paying attention to polls and instead DO WHAT’S RIGHT."

That's called wise and eithical leadership . . . a quality in short supply in far too many places.

Honestly, who answers a residential phone anymore?

I find that Republicans typically value their privacy and are more discreet with random strangers calling over the phone. I wouldn’t be surprised if data supported this.

You can bet that those phone pollsters know this.
