The guard has no obligation to commit suicide by leftist college pukes. The guard were quite outnumbered. The crowd was not appearing to be placing flowers in the business end of the rifles. What makes you so sure that the crowd was unarmed? I note that you don't address the previous night's ROTC building arson either. After all, so long as mouthy and revolutionary wannabe little boodgeums pays no price for revolutionary action, it's OK, right???

As a lawyer (now recovering) I successfully litigated actual First Amendment Free Speech cases and Kent State was NOT a denial of Free Speech. It arose from an assault (Check Black's Law Dictionary/no contact necessary/threat sufficient) by the leftist trash as they marched against the guard. Shall the guard do as the leftists order them? Shall the guard turn their weapons over the the Ho Chi Minh love slaves who could turn the guard's weapons against the guard? At Kent State, the guard were the grownups and the punks got what they deserved. Or at least part of what they deserved.

Your entire line of thinking indicates you think it is all right to kill unarmed people. Perhaps you should take a look at who sent those troops there, totally unprepared. The fact is that people were killed, just as in Iran.

As far as my tagline, you have no idea what you are talking about. I am as conservative as anyone — in fact I think the government sending troops to shoot its own citizens is an affront to the Constitution and the First Amendment.
