I don’t see the problem.
If the argument is that images can be effective forces for change, it’s a fair compairson.

Neda died denouncing a theocracy that keeps her and her countrymen oppressed. Neda was an apolitical person but when the demonstrations started to protest the stealing of their election and the chance to gain Liberty she joined in to give support.

Kent State students were killed as a consequence of an ill-trained NatGuard officer in response to life threatening behavior of the students themselves over a period of time that weekend.

Neda was protesting for Liberty and Freedom of the Iranian people. Kent State students were protesting for the success of the Communists/Khmer Rouge and spread of communism.

The Kent State students' deaths were not in vain, unfortunately. Let's pray to God Neda's is not either. Kent State students brought their deaths upon themselves whereas Neda didn't.
