The commission appointed by Nixon was the usual gang of spineless unprincipled jerks that are appointed to all such commissions, respectable or semi-respectable windtunnels who live in pristine areas far from the action and send their kids to Harvard or Yale as legacies and not to Kent State or any place like it. Oh golly, Mergatroid, those awful barbarians in the Ohio National Guard actually SHOT college kids, kids just like our Muffy and our Skipper. Let's have a commission to play make-believe moralists for windtunnel college parents, comfort them and take Muffy and Skipper's side! Bilge.

5. The commission and its "study" and its conclusions are what was unnecessary, unwarranted and inexcusable. See also the similarly spineless Kerner Commission cheerleading urban rioters as being right and the police wrong. Of course that was before Kerner became a federal convict and prisoner (I think those are constitutional qualifications for Illinois liberal governors Kerner, Lyin' Ryan, Blagojevich and Walkin' Dan Walker). But I digress.

6. Then there was the 9/11 commission featuring some of those who lowered our defenses (like Jamie Gorelick) as whitewas...err, commission members. Too bad Scranton, Kerner and Gorelick weren't in the crowd of other worthless trash shot at Kent State.

7. BTW, is that the same Nixon whose tapes indicate that he favored abortion being legal because it might be needed in case of interracial pregnancies?????

BTW again, Nixon discussed the use of the guard with Governor Rhodes the night before as the ROTC ruins were smoldering still and then proved his reputation by appointing the usual commission of "respectable" elitist moral quislings to kiss the patoots of revolutionary romantic wannabes and their equally vacant-headed parents. I want to see and hear the tape of the Nixon/Rhodes confab. Nixon has been dead for about 16 years and Rhodes longer. It is about time.

9. I note your reluctance to mention the felony arson that destroyed the Kent State ROTC building the previous night which is WHY the guard was called out.
