well you can shrug, but a politician with aspirations for higher office has to be savvier than to pull some stunt like this and thereby hand his political opponents plenty to use against him. i am neither a sanford-hater, nor an idiot, this is just stupidity on his part.

Yes..., and definitely *not* the mark of a Presidential Candidate. It’s these kinds of things that cause many in the public to eliminate candidates, in their minds and cause them to refuse to vote for someone.
