We already have a VAT with the income tax! Congress has a non VAT national sales tax in both chambers. The Fair Tax Act(HR25/S296)has been before each session of Congress since 1999. It will replace all federal income taxes, including corporate income taxes, with a national sales tax and abolish the IRS thereby eliminating the embedded VATs in everything we purchase. Fair Tax ping!

To pay for all Obama’s BS. Sales tax + income tax + state tax + local tax + sin tax + any other taxes that the demoncrats (sic) can come up with. They don’t need any stinking healthcare tax, at least not yet.
It these idiots would just lower taxes and let free enterprise prevail, the situation in this country would soon fix itself.
Then again, the best way to control a people is to tax them into submission.

Zer0 and his ilk will try to pawn off a VAT as the FairTax. A FairTax would replace the income tax, 0bambi’s version will be just another tax on top of what you pay. Nice to know so many of us are in the over $250K tax bracket. Who’d have thunk it?
