I don’t approve of how she approaches this topic. Abortion is far too serious an issue to make dry jokes about. It’s like joking about the Holocaust. Really crossing the line here.
The problem is that we have had two ways to protest abortion.
1. Ghastly pictures that turn people off
2. Prayer
Up until recently, that’s it.
This is the way to do it. Start fighting back with their own words.
And the Prayer helps too. Without it, nothing works
I guess you wouldn’t have liked Rush’s “caller abortions” from the very early days of his show either. He would start talking to a liberal, and before they finished their point he played the sound of vacum cleaner starting up and a scream. He would then announce that he had decided the call wasn’t viable, and he needed to terminate it early, so the call had been aborted.

I don’t read it as humor, dry or wet. I think she’s being ironic.
She is not joking.
She is dead serious.

It is Ann's style and it is also 'gallows humor'. The absurdity of the left's argument for abortion is such that the only way to illustrate their hypocrisy is to use this humor.
The humor is shedding light on their position. Not abortion per say.
It really doesn't work to say, "Abortion is a tragedy." The left says, "I know (concerned look on face) but it is also a tragedy......"
Liberals position makes me sick. Ann's 'joke' makes the left look sick.
