Oh, please. We in NC had the rare pleasure of having a genuine recluse as governor, for eight years. He wasn't seen for months at a time, except for popping out of the governor's mansion and hopping into a state-owned helicopter to fly down to his beach house near Shallotte nearly every Friday afternoon. But, he was a Democrat and an unusually stupid one at that, so no harm no foul, as far as I was concerned.
