my husband is in a tile union, currently unemployed 2 months, and they changed how he gets medical coverage. It was work X amount of hours in a year to get coverage for the next year.

They just changed it starting this year to a 12 month rolling back thing. So each month they look back 12 months to determine if you have coverage. Like my son who is unemployed 6 months now LOST his coverage under their new system, YEAH!

this is why health ins should never be tied to employment status and if we had state to state competition, a deduction for health ins you buy on income taxes, got the trial lawyers out...there wouldn’t be these problems.
