Eagle Creek below Spence Field toward Fontana Lake was pretty remote too once you crossed the AT and left the shelter area. I camped a few times about a mile below Shuckstack Rock back in my teenage days. First time in there we saw a few persons in there but that was due to a search going on when a kid got lost up there around 1970 or so.

Those drainages that run to the south from the crest of the Smokies down to to the lake looked like they’d be some very remote areas. Eagle Creek especially. Never have made it there. There’s a place on the map up near the crest called Bone Valley that i’ve always wanted to visit just for the name’s sake.
