Friends and acquaintences have gone through four divorces this year alone.

A wife disappeared and when she finally contacted her husband for the divorce, she admitted their son died a couple of years ago. She still hasn’t told him where he’s buried.

Best one: One couple had a divorce with no lawyer and the exhusband is paying rent to stay in the house until he gets a place.

The wife has moved out and they are in complete agreement as to who gets the property. That is until the lawyers get involved.

The worse one involves my best friends. My so-called “buddy” emptied the gunsafe and took her jewelry from her previous marriage. He also sold her car. This week he emptied her bank accounts the same week the judge told him he couldn’t alter their finances. He put a phone block on his daughters so they can’t contact him. The two girls are his daughters from a previous marriage. From phone records, it’s been proven he’s been having an affair that ruined his previous marriage. He had been unemployed for half their marriage. The soon to be exwife payed for her stepdaughter’s college educations and child support.

Gosh. I didn’t realize how bad it is out there, being a little too sheltered in my HEA marriage of nearly 30 years.

Your buddy sounds as if he has gone a bit insane. Was he like that before? It’s a good thing for the two daughters that the stepmother has taken over the parenting duties.

But the mutual restraining orders still sounds like a good idea.
