The eventual GOP candidate needs to stay on target with fiscal conservatism, defense, American optimism (free markets, private industry, American dream) and stay on the attack against Obama.
They come out too strong preaching social issues then they will lose.

I agree the GOP can still be socially conservative without making too much noise about it. But I think the gay-stapo agenda is ripe for the picking.

They had better not remain too silent on thise “social issues.” THis is a flawed and mythical mentality. That was what McCain tried to do — and a WHOLE LOT of the Conservative Base didn’t take too kindly to it. By the way — McCain lost. Perhaps a REAGAN approach would be better — you might remember that Reagan didn’t shy away from “social issues,” and he won LANDSLIDES — TWICE.
